Musical Menagerie – March 29, 2026

This concert presents delightful mixes of oboe, French horn, viola and piano. We’ll hear three duos: The engaging Sonatina in C Minor for oboe and basso continuo by Vivaldi, the soulful Ballade for Viola and Piano by Minna Keal, and the evocative Romance for Horn and Piano by Canadian composer Elizabeth Raum. In the mix, two Romantic trios, both with a decidedly sunny disposition: the Trio for Oboe, Viola and Piano Op.34 by Adolf Ruthardt, and the Trio in A minor for Oboe, Horn and Piano Op.188 by Carl Reinecke.
